I don’t just create pretty spaces — I care about my client’s aspirations and learn from the start the experience they want to create, whether designing for their clientele — or for them personally.

Inspired Moment
Completing the Ameswell Hotel was a proud moment for me. I was a leader in design decisions and feel very proud of how we honored the project’s sustainability goals.

Gabriela defines her style as casual-modern — a mix of natural materials, different eras and styles, and refined textures sprinkled with bits of modernity. The quality of her designs is enhanced through research and an extensive knowledge of materials and furniture.

She takes a keen interest in the intersection of the built environment, human scale, and interaction — carefully considering these factors to delineate zones that encourage conversation and by selecting furniture and fabrics for the right vibe, comfort, and experience.

Gabriela’s calm demeanor and holistic mindset are essential to her teammates and clients. She believes that great ideas emerge through conversation and sharing ideas and has been instrumental in bringing teams together to solve problems.

Gabriela finds immense joy as a part of our diversity and inclusion team, and passionately advocates for sustainable practices on all her projects. At home, she readily volunteers in her community. Her latest activities include cleaning up beaches and participating in a public-zone project that focuses on planting native plants to create open green spaces with hiking and bike paths.
