Chileno Bay, an Auberge Resort

“BAMO did superb work on the interior design of the hotel and villas at Chileno Bay Resort. The aesthetic is contemporary, stylish and warm, with tasteful accents of Mexico, beautiful finishes and great art. As a result, the real estate sales and hotel stays at Chileno have been extraordinarily successful.”

On the tip of the Baja California peninsula, where desert meets the sea, this intimate beachfront resort is the ultimate in laid-back luxury. The design of Chileno Bay Resort & Residences is decidedly modern, a departure from the more traditional, Hacienda-style properties in the area, with a youthful exuberance that invites an authentic, yet fresh and unexpected Cabo experience.

BAMO took inspiration from the idyllic location, designing a palette that complements the natural environment, exalting the view with floor to ceiling windows, and leveraging
the climate with indoor/outdoor living. With simple, direct forms, the villas and guestrooms are clean, light, and airy.  Modern spaces flow one into the next, with marble flooring balanced by the warmth of wood ceilings above. Encaustic tiles in a mix of modern geometrics and traditional patterns appear as mini art installations with colors inspired by the cactus and agave landscape and cerulean blue waters.

In a geographic market that is very familiar with luxury resorts, Chileno Bay Resort and Residences brings a new flavor of luxury to the scene in Cabo San Lucas, standing out among its competitors with its comfortable scale, authentic materials and well-integrated local art throughout.
