Collaboration is key to a successful project.  It’s about establishing a partnership with the client and creating an inspiring environment where solutions organically emerge.

Steve Henry is a brilliant and prolific artist, with watercolor being his medium of choice.  It is a talent that fulfills both personal passion and professional expediency.  When designing spaces, Steve is able to quickly communicate ideas to clients and staff through his captivating sketches and paintings.

Raised in Arkansas and educated in Texas, Steve moved west to San Francisco to pursue interiors at SOM before joining BAMO as its 3rd employee.

A Principal since 2003, Steve has worked with many of the world’s leading hotel operators and designed houses for the most discerning clients.  Whether a hotel or a residence, layering is one of Steve’s fortes; he is able to pull unexpected and eclectic elements together in perfect harmony.

Steve was honored with Interior Design’s Outstanding Achievement Award in 1992.  His work has appeared in Architectural Digest, House & Garden, Town & Country, Interior Design, and Hospitality Design.

Steve’s portfolio includes The New York Palace, Four Seasons Hotel Boston, The Grand Hotel a Villa Feltrinelli, and The Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai, as well as private residences around the world.  Current commissions include Four Seasons Hotel Madrid and a contemporary villa in Atherton, California.
