Hotels are a stage set with the guests as players and the interiors setting the mood and acting as backdrop for irreplaceable experiences.
Anne Wilkinson’s calling was revealed to her through her first love, dance. The leap from performing arts to theater and lighting design was natural, with hotel and residential interiors the logical progression.
A New York native, Anne earned her Bachelor of Science in Design & Environmental Analysis from Cornell University. After launching her career at Gensler and working for a theater design consultancy in New York, Anne moved to San Francisco to pursue residential and hospitality design with Marie Fisher Interior Design.
Introduced to BAMO’s founders, Anne became the firm’s first employee in 1993. Experience and promotions followed; in 2008, Anne was elevated again to Senior Associate and Principal in 2017. With a portfolio spanning the globe, Anne enjoys discovering what makes each city unique so that she can infuse a sense of style and place into her elegant, cohesive designs.
