DOROTHY GREENE
Dorothy Greene is a Principal at BAMO. Trained and licensed as an Architect, Dorothy has over 20 years of experience in architecture and interior design. Her contributions to BAMO’s award-winning projects have been recognized in several issues of Interior Design magazine.
Dorothy was born and raised in New Orleans, where she received her architectural education at Tulane University. After graduation she moved to San Francisco and joined The Pfister Partnership as an interior designer. It was there that she first had the opportunity to work with BAMO’s four Founding Principals. In 1991 Dorothy began working in the office of Robert Frear and then Holly Hulburd Design.
However, it wasn’t long before she was once again reunited with her former colleagues. In 1993, with an impressive resume of both commercial and residential work, she joined BAMO as a staff designer. Interior architectural planning, design, and detailing are Dorothy’s forte. Both her design and leadership skills flourished at BAMO; she became an Associate of the firm in 2001. In 2007 she became a Principal. In her role as designer, Associate and now Principal, Dorothy has worked with many of BAMO’s most prestigious and demanding clients.
Dorothy has taken a lead design role in numerous BAMO projects including The Peninsula Hotel in Chicago; Palais Schwarzenberg in Vienna, Austria; Santana Row in San Jose, California; Rancho Malibu Resort in California; and senior living projects in Machida, Takarazuka, Kashiwa and Kyoto Japan. Dorothy has also been a lead designer on numerous private residences worldwide.
Dorothy received her Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Tulane University, New Orleans and is a registered Architect in the State of California.
